Meet Our team

Hi! My name is Emily. I am the opioid response coordinator here at Harm Reduction Sisters. I also dabble in several admin roles, providing naloxone trainings to folks in a variety of settings and focusing largely on data collection. My life is centered around three little boys who call me mom and spending as much time as possible with my husband who doubles as my best friend. A few hobbies of mine include reading, running, hiking the beautiful trails of the Northland, hunting for agates, embroidery projects of all kinds, and searching for the ever elusive Bigfoot.

While my degree is in education and the education world has been home to me for about a decade, I took a new path in my life journey and joined Harm Reduction Sisters in the summer of 2022. It is my passion in life  to help people, especially youth. My purpose in joining this organization is to give people a space to feel heard and seen, and to meet anyone and everyone right where they're at. I'm convicted that love and treating people with respect is the first step in reducing harm. My thought is harm reduction starts with love and continues with other support and resources being put in place. It is such a privilege to get to watch all the awesome benefits and services we provide to much of Northern Minnesota. Looking forward to watching our organization continue to grow and support our community in a multitude of ways!
